Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology is looking for experienced English Instructors!
1) Job Description
– Position title: English Instructor
– Covering Fields: Academic Writing, TOEFL, Research Paper Editing, Documents
Editing, and other English language-related areas
– Working Hours: Total 28 hours/week
(teaching, editing, and others according to school policy)
– Contract period: 1 year starting September 15, 2014
(renewable after the annual evaluation)
– Salary: 2.3 million-2.6 million per month (depending on qualifications)
(Overtime will be paid according to the school policy)
– Benefits: A shared office equipped with a computer
Health insurance
6 weeks of holidays(3 weeks during Summer and Winter vacation)
Monthly support of \350,000 in case you pay monthly housing rent
2) Qualifications: A native English speaker
B.A. degree
Preferred qualifications
• Master’s or higher degree in English/English education or engineering field
(in case of doctors, the salary can be negotiated regardless of the maximum salary cap according to the careers)
• Teaching/editing experience in other universities or college
• Korean-English bilinguals(acquired foreign nationality)
• Experience of curriculum development

– At least 2 Recommendation letters from previous employers
– Copies of degree(s) and certificate(s),
– Copies of Passport and Certificate of Alien Registration

5) Interviews(sample lecture)
– August 29 or 30
– Those selected for the interviews will be contacted by the university after the first screening.
– Sample lecture: Your presentation of a sample lecture(around 15 minutes)
Q&A(around 10 minutes)
Pick a topic and give a sample lecture to the interviewers
Focus on how to teach writing for non-native students of university level
* you can bring your own material for your sample lecture presentation
