※We seek candidates for a tenure track position with specialty in materials physics. The candidate needs to be fluent in both oral and written English, and will work on projects aimed at the thermal or vacuum system development and the structure analysis of low dimensional materials. It is highly desirable that the candidate has working experience with (i) CVD development and modification (ii) Joule heating/resistivity heating system development (iii) Cold wall chamber development and modification (iv) induction based heating (v) Physics-based modeling and simulation (vi) material characterization techniques ranging from X-ray diffraction (XRD), low energy electron diffraction (LEED), focused ion beam (FIB), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and measurements of physical properties of materials, among others. In addition, familiarity with the basic aspects of carbon materials is valued.
