UNIST is holding the “1st UNIST Big Data Symposium” on  Friday, March 20, 2015. This is an one-day event, organized by the UNIST Center for Advanced Analytics (A2) to expand industry-university research networks and to accelerate industrial sophistication of Ulsan.

Recently, there has been a significant increase of the need for creating and utilizing the customized knowledge based on diverse types of data produced in the new business environment of the knowledge-based economy. In consideration of these changes, the first UNIST Big Data Symposium introduces the methods and successful cases of big data analytics, and presents a wide array of topics such as process mining, big data analytics for next-generation manufacturing systems, big data strategy and predictive analytics, as well as technology opportunity discovery. The UNIST Center for A2 hopes to foster the industry-university research ecosystem for the improvement of Ulsan’s industrial competitive edge and further boosting of the economic growth and sustainability.
